Pueblo Friends of the Arkansas River or PFAR is a volunteer run, non-profit 501(c)3 organization. As a member of PFAR, you are helping to implement the mission and vision of PFAR which is:

• Various educational and recreational events about the Arkansas River, such as educational talks about birds, fly fishing and water safety.
• Celebrating the Winter and Summer Solstice with a lantern parade, music and local food.
• Celebration of different events like Damon Days, opening and naming of the new pedestrian bridges.
• Cleaning up the riverbanks (first Saturday of each month).

Monthly trail and river cleanups, more marketing of River activities, lobby for River funding, advocate for the Arkansas River, increase awareness of the levee murals, fundraisers to improve the Arkansas River and trail. Safety and educational events.

By signing up to be a member of the Pueblo Friends of the Arkansas River, your membership fee will help provide more fun events on the Arkansas River to enjoy. Improvements to the Arkansas River and trail, earlier notice of upcoming events, and educational talks. Opportunities to help with events such as the Winter and Summer Solstice and Lantern parades along with more to come!!
